About this service

Get out, get involved and grow your confidence

NDIS community access support from Gaia Care helps you take part in the activities, friendships and experiences that make life meaningful. Whether that's joining a local club in Brisbane Northside, attending TAFE, getting to the gym or simply enjoying a coffee with friends, we're alongside you every step of the way.

Our Community Access & Inclusion support team helps people with disability set, pursue and achieve everyday goals — and the bigger life goals too.

What community access looks like at Gaia Care

Every participant has a different idea of what an active community life means. Your support might include:

  • Joining a hobby group, sport, art class or volunteer role.
  • Going to local events, concerts, markets, beaches or parks.
  • Attending TAFE, uni or work — and building employability skills.
  • Shopping, banking, post office runs and other community errands.
  • Building confidence using public transport and navigating new places.
  • Making friends and developing lasting social connections.

A dedicated support worker who shares your interests

We match you with a support worker who genuinely enjoys the things you enjoy — so community outings feel like time with a mate, not a shift. They focus on your safety and wellbeing, but the support is always built around your plan and your pace.

Building skills, confidence and independence

Our role isn't just to be there — it's to gently grow your confidence so you can do more on your own over time. We celebrate wins, encourage progress and help you keep moving towards the outcomes in your NDIS plan. Many participants combine community access with social support, transport or individual support for a complete weekly schedule.
